Someone recently complained that most of the sounds out there were much too long to be useful as "beep" sounds. In answer to that I cobbled up this little System Extension. Throw it into your "Extensions" folder (or System Folder under System 6) and restart. System beeps will be played in the background making long beep sounds acceptable.
Will probably work on a Mac Plus but would be of limited usefulness since the Plus has no sound chip. If it really IS useful then someone let me know.
This first beta test version has been tested on a Mac II under System 7 and System 6.0.5. I don't anticipate many problems since it is pretty simple, but report any to me at the following EMAIL addresses:
